Little Lentil King & Queen
The National Lentil Festival counts on the Little Lentil King and Little Lentil Queen, along with our mascot Tase T. Lentil, to represent the Festival throughout the year. Our 2011 King Sam Leeper and Queen Claire Shelton will be passing on their crowns.
All candidates must turn in a King & Queen Application and be prepared to answer the following questions at Reaney Park on Saturday afternoon:
- Why do you like living on the Palouse?
- Why do you like lentils?
- Why do you want to be the Little Lentil King or Queen?
The winners will preside for a year and will attend various luncheons and parades along with the 2012 Pullman Distinguished Young Women. The Lentil Express visits approximately 10 parades from May through September 2012. Other appearances, such as at local elementary schools, may arise throughout the year.
